API Key – How to Create and Use for Integration
What is an API Key?
An API key is a unique identifier that allows secure communication between Zaptiva and third-party applications. Zaptiva allows users to generate API keys that can be used to securely connect and integrate with external systems. These API keys act as authentication tokens, enabling third-party applications to access and interact with Zaptiva services.
How to Create an API Key
Zaptiva allows users to easily generate API keys from the Integration section. Users can create a new API key by providing a name and an optional description. Once created, the API key is securely generated and can be copied for use in third-party integrations.
2. Log in to your Zaptiva account and Go to the Integration module ,click on "Add API Key".
3.Users can enter a name for the API key based on its purpose, add a description if needed, and click on Generate to create the API key.

4.The API key is generated, and users can copy it by clicking on the Copy option and use it for their respective integrations.

5. Additional points- Users can view all created API keys in the API Keys list along with their details such as name, usage count, status, and dates.
- The API key is partially masked for security, and users can copy it using the Copy icon
- The Usage Count shows how many times the API key has been used for API calls.
- The Status indicates whether the API key is active or inactive. Users can enable or disable it using the toggle.
- The Created Date shows when the API key was generated
- The Last Usage Date helps track when the API key was last used.
- Users can delete an API key by clicking on the Delete icon.
- The Search option allows users to quickly find a specific API key.
- Users can create a new API key anytime by clicking on the Add API Key button.
- API usage limit is displayed at the top (e.g., API calls used vs total allowed)
